Dear Resident, I hope this message finds you well. As your local officer for Penkridge, I want to keep you informed about recent incidents and share advice to help you feel safe at home. In the early hours of Monday, 11th November, two burglaries occurred on the St Modwena Estate. In both cases, offenders gained entry by snapping the locks on rear doors. One of the most effective steps you can take is upgrading your cylinder locks to the Kitemark standard, which offers stronger protection against this type of attack. By making these improvements now, you’ll be one step ahead of the criminals. I’ve also attached a leaflet with practical tips on securing your home — from lighting and alarms to simple daily habits that make a big difference.
