Staffordshire Police Community Appeal – Increase in Motorcycle and Off-Road Vehicle Thefts in Newcastle-under-Lyme |
||
|
Staffordshire Police is warning residents following an increase in the theft of motorcycles, mopeds and off-road bikes across the Newcastle-under-Lyme area.
We are actively investigating a number of reports and are appealing to the public for information. If you know who is responsible, have seen suspicious activity, or have any information that could assist our enquiries, please come forward. Information can be provided directly to Staffordshire Police or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
If you have CCTV, doorbell camera footage, dashcam recordings, or any other video evidence that may assist our investigations, please review footage from recent days and report anything suspicious. Footage can be submitted via Staffordshire Police’s online reporting portal or by contacting us on 101, quoting any relevant incident number where available.
Crime Prevention Advice
Motorcycle, moped and off-road bike owners are encouraged to take the following precautions:
• Always use a quality disc lock, chain and ground anchor where possible.
If You Witness a Crime
If you see a theft taking place or believe a crime is in progress, call 999 immediately. Please provide as much detail as possible, including descriptions of suspects, vehicles used, direction of travel and any registration numbers.
For non-emergency information, reports or to share intelligence, contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or online. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers.
With the support of our communities, we can help identify those responsible and prevent further offences.
Thank you for your assistance. | ||
