Information sent on behalf of Staffordshire Police

The big day is nearly upon us!!! Let's not let thieves spoil it...

I'm sure you know the drill, but in case you have Christmas brain-fog here's a gentle reminder of some simple measures to keep you and your property safe this Christmas:

In your car
- Remove all items from your car
- Don't advertise what you've bought by leaving shopping on view
- Store items in the boot and make sure it's locked

At home
- Lock doors and windows even if you're 'just popping out'
- If storing presents in sheds or garages make sure they are kept secure
- Keep presents out of view, away from prying eyes
- When presents have been opened, take the packaging to the tip rather than leaving it out with the dustbin to avoid advertising you have a new TV, bike, or other new products

Out and about
- Keep wallets, purses and phones safe and out of sight
- Always shield your PIN from prying eyes

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
