Throughout the world, one third of women and girls are affected by violence, making it the most prevalent and damaging form of abuse for both victims and the wider society. Violence against women and girls is an umbrella term used to cover a wide range of abuse types, which includes and not limited to, domestic homicide, domestic abuse, sexual assault, experienced abuse as a child, female genital mutilation (FGM), forced marriage and harassment in the workplace and public life. We are focusing on a number of areas to help women and girls feel safe. This includes: Night time economy Drink spiking Rape and consent Domestic abuse and violence If you or someone you know has experience any of this behaviour, we encourage you to report it.
