After following up community intelligence Officers have discovered a large cannabis grow in the Chell area.

Over 2000 plants have been seized and destroyed.

There are huge risks linked to grows including modern slavery, crime and the risk of fire to surrounding properties.

Here are signs of a cannabis grow :

* Covered or blacked out windows

* Sound of fans 

* vans visiting every couple of weeks, large items being taken in or out.

*Occupants are rarely seen

*Distinctive sweet, sickly smell.

Fortunately no one was hurt on this action and the property has been made safe and secure.

We continue to proactively target those involved in drug cultivation across the City as part of Operation Levidrome.
