On Sunday 16th February at around 09:30 we responded to a report of a male verbally and racially abusing a shopkeeper in Stonydelph.

The offender was located on Beyer Close, Glascote and upon officers conducting a stop & search they found he had a meat cleaver in his possession.

The 42 year old male, from Sutton Coldfield, was arrested for racially aggravated harassment and possession of a bladed article in a public place. 

He has since been released on Police bail pending investigation.
