ARREST: Two males have been arrested in Rugeley this afternoon following a shoplifting in the Town Centre.

Whilst on foot in the town, Special Sergeant Kevin Lee was made aware via his StoreNet radio of a theft that had just taken place from Boots.

Predicting their route he swiftly intercepted and detained one of them whilst the other one continued to make off.

His escape was short lived though as thanks to @cannockchasedc CCTV operators they were quickly detained by PC Hyden and PCSO Carrington who were nearby.

Following checks we established the following:

👨🏻‍🦱 Male 1 was wanted for two previous thefts plus the theft from today - he was subsequently arrested.

👨🏻‍🦱 Male 2 was wanted for a previous theft, recall to prison, found to be possession of Class A Drugs, and also the theft from today - he was also arrested.

Another great result for the 'Sheriff' of Rugeley and the team.
