Driving and Prescription Drugs

When you hear about someone drug driving, drugs like cannabis or cocaine may come to mind, but actually some legally prescribed drugs may also impair your ability to drive safely.

If you feel like you’re unable to concentrate properly or feel drowsy or confused, you should always avoid getting behind the wheel for the safety of other road users.

Take a look at the information leaflet that comes with your medication, or speak with your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional to check if you’re safe to drive.

You can check the law on driving while taking prescription medications here: https://orlo.uk/UH0VX
