We’ve found a big cannabis grow inside a disused shop in Stafford. 

Officers acting on local intelligence from members of the community forced entry into the site on Stafford Street shortly after 9.30am this morning (Thursday 19 June) and found around 500 cannabis plants spanning two separate floors. Growing lights and fans had been set up inside for mass production. 

We’re currently clearing the site and have put a cordon in place to preserve forensic opportunities. 

Colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene to make sure the area was safe. Western Power have also been called.
