Man jailed following exposure

A man has been jailed for three years after he exposed himself and breached his sexual harm prevention order in Stoke-on-Trent.

Daniel Clift, 36, of no fixed address, was walking naked down Victoria Road, Fenton, on New Year’s Eve last year.

Following the incident, he was also arrested on suspicion of common assault.

After we arrested him, Clift was charged with exposure, breaching a sexual harm prevention order and common assault. He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing and was sentenced to three years in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday (23 June).

PC Daniel Crank, from our Stoke-on-Trent South local policing team, said: “We do not underestimate the affect that Clift’s offending had on the victim and I am pleased he has been convicted of his crimes.

“We are committed to keeping communities safe in Stoke-on-Trent and wider Staffordshire.”
