At approximately 13:15 today, we received a report from a member of the public regarding a road traffic collision (RTC) involving two vehicles at the junction of Market Street and Victoria Street in Hednesford.

Both vehicles initially stopped to exchange details, but one of the drivers left the area shortly after. Thanks to swift action by PCs Furnell and Hancock, and with the support of members of the public, the vehicle was located a short time later. The driver was arrested after providing a positive roadside breath test for alcohol.

We are now appealing for the driver of the second vehicle involved to come forward so that insurance details can be exchanged.
