MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES

A man has been charged with drug supply offences after we found crack cocaine and heroin in Cannock.

Malik Islam, 47, of Walsall, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin and crack cocaine), possessing criminal property, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance. 

It comes after we searched a car in Cannock on Wednesday (9 July) and found drugs, cash and phones. The car was also seized. 

Islam appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (10 July) and has been remanded ahead of his next hearing at Stafford Crown Court on 8 August.
