Two arrested following stabbing

Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent. 

We were called to Havelock Place, Shelton, at 12.20am today (Thursday 17 July) following reports of an injured man. 

Officers promptly attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service. 

The man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his leg. His injury is not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening at this time. 

Two men, both 24 from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 – wounding with intent. 

They remain in police custody at this time. 

Our investigation is ongoing.
