Officers continue crackdown on illegal motorbikes

We are continuing to crackdown on illegal motorbike use in Stoke-on-Trent following an increase in reports recently.

Officers spotted this illegally-modified bicycle being used in the early hours of the morning in the Bentilee area on Friday (11 July).

The rider came round a corner and fell off the bike when he spotted officers.

The bike had been modified to use a petrol engine and was therefore considered an illegal vehicle.

The rider was later reported to court for using a vehicle without due care and attention and having no licence or insurance.

Officers continue to take robust action against illegal motorbikes and their riders.

Anyone who is concerned about this issue in their area should contact us on 101, use Livechat on our website or call 999 in an emergency.
