🛡️ FRAUD PREVENTION ADVICE

Dear Residents,

Fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated, targeting people through phone calls, emails, texts, and social media. Protect yourself and your loved ones by staying alert and following these key tips:

•     Never share personal or financial information with unknown callers or senders.
•     Don’t click on suspicious links in emails or texts—even if they appear to be from trusted organizations.
•     Verify before trusting: If someone claims to be from your bank, HMRC, or the police, hang up and call the official number directly.
•     Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication where possible.
•     Be cautious of urgent requests for money, especially from friends or family via social media or email.

If you think you’ve been targeted by fraud, report it immediately to Action Fraud at www.actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040.

Let’s stay one step ahead of the scammers—share this advice with friends and family.
