Two arrested during proactive patrols

Two men have been arrested during our #problemsolvingpolicing patrols in Stoke town centre. 

Local officers spent Saturday (16 August) patrolling the streets, actively responding to concerns raised by the local community. 

A 38-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of failing to surrender to court bail time after he was spotted in the area. 

He remains in police custody for questioning. 

We also arrested a 32-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, who was wanted on suspicion of aggravated burglary. When she was searched officers found a knife and was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place. 

She has since been released on bail with conditions whilst our investigation continues. 

Officers then engaged with businesses in the area, addressing any complaints or issues raised.
