We’re aware of concerns raised about the behaviour of an individual that some residents have found distressing. While we appreciate these concerns, we want to offer some clarity on how situations like this are managed.

In this case, the behaviour is linked to an underlying mental health condition, and although it may appear that no action has been taken, that is not the case.

🔹 What’s important to know:

Police have been actively involved and have worked closely with mental health services and other support agencies.

We must always act within the law, including the Mental Health Act, which limits what police can do — particularly when a person is in their own home.

These situations often require a health-led response, with police providing support when appropriate.

While actions may not always be visible to the public, please be assured that the situation is being monitored and managed by the appropriate services.
