Officers make three arrests on problem solving patrols |
||
We’re keeping busy on our problem solving policing patrols in Stoke-on-Trent and arrested three people over the weekend.
Officers have been patrolling different areas across the city as part of our efforts to tackle the problems affecting local people and businesses the most.
On Friday (12 September), we were in Hanley, speaking to shop staff and people who were pleased to see us out and about.
At about 10.05am the same day, officers helped with our response colleagues who received a report of a car driving dangerously on Boughey Road, Shelton. The car was quickly found abandoned in the middle of the road. We searched it and found a large bag of cannabis and digital scales in the footwell.
We went to an associated address and arrested three people from Stoke-on-Trent on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis. One of them was a 17-year-old boy and the other two were men, aged 24 and 21.
All three were questioned in custody and bailed while the investigation continues.
On the same shift, officers also issued a section 59 notice to a man who was seen riding a motorbike in an anti-social manner on Lichfield Street and Potteries Way.
Visible patrols like this are happening across Staffordshire every day as part of our commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour and high harm crimes affecting local people. | ||
