Is it a scam or is it real?

Just a friendly reminder, that should you receive a cold telephone call , from persons purporting to offer services and claiming that they work with Police or the Fire service, they may not be being truthful. 

As we can not see through the telephone, it is best to presume that they are not being honest, so you are advised NOT to pass on any details or accept any offers of a visit to your home. 

This is particularly important for those members of the public who are vulnerable, or who live alone.
