Cannabis grow found and lots of community updates |
||||||||||||||||||
Good evening everyone,
Firstly, a big welcome to everyone who has recently joined Staffordshire Smart Alerts. The number of residents using this system continues to grow, which is fantastic! If I could kindly ask if you can please share the information below with friends, family, neighbours and on social media. Anyone wishing to join can do so by visiting www.staffordshiresmartalert.co.uk
Cannabis grow discovered
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a large cannabis grow on Newcastle Road, Trent Vale. A total of 161 cannabis plants were discovered.
On 10/10/2025 I attended the property and assisted with seizing the plants. If you have any information that may assist our investigation, please call 101, quoting serial 600 of 09/10/2025.
Neighbourhood Watch I am very happy to report that I now have the ‘lamppost signs’ that I will soon be putting up around the area, starting with the zones that were recently created.
Once the signs are put in place I will then continue to create new zones throughout the area.
The zones recently created are…

If you would like to add your address to the zones you can do so by visiting www.ourwatch.org.uk
Bereavement Café visit On 01/10/2025 myself and PCSO Cooper attended The Bereavement Café, which takes place Wednesdays from 11:30am at the Trentham Parish Church, Park Drive, ST4 8AB. It’s a fantastic group, which I’ve attended to give talks on many occasions. Everyone is welcome and there is always a hot drink waiting for you. If anyone would like more information on the group, please let me know and I’ll be in touch.
Hanford Court Care Home Visit On 10/10/2025 I attended Hanford Court Care Home and spoke to residents who were present for the monthly residents meeting. I also recently met a resident at the home called Dot, who I really enjoyed talking to. Dot is 93 and she shared with me her secret to looking so young - she said ‘have a laugh’ and have a good sense of humour. I look forward to attending our Care Home’s as frequently as I can and saying hello to residents. It’s always important to ensure that they know that they are a big part of our community.
Police and Councillor Joint Street Surgeries
Next week I will announce the dates, times and locations of upcoming Police and Councillor Joint street surgeries. Myself and Councillors Maxine Clarke and Dan Jellyman will be visiting streets throughout the area, speaking with residents and discussing issues that you will like to see addressed. One of the locations will be Parkside due to recent concerns regarding parking issues at this location. If you would like us to visit your street, please reply to this message and I will be in touch.
