TWO ARRESTED FOR DRIVING OFFENCES AND ASSAULT

On 18/10/2025 at 00:00 officers attended River Drive following a report of a black BMW having crashed and the occupants running off in to the Castle Grounds.

Officers located two males matching the descriptions passed by witnesses.

Both males, aged 20 & 21, from Tamworth, were believed to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs and were subsequently arrested.

One of the males was further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker (x2) and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

They have both since been released under investigation.
