Arrest made after £1k-worth of cocaine found |

A man has been arrested after an estimated £1,000-worth of cocaine and a suspected drugs line phone was seized in Stoke-on-Trent. At around 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 22 October), officers stopped a car in Penkhull, following intelligence that it was potentially linked to drug supply. Cocaine, £430 in cash and a suspected drugs line phone was seized. Whilst responding to the incident, two officers suffered minor injuries. A 25-year-old man, from Telford, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, obstructing / resisting a constable in execution of duty and assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty. He remains in police custody for questioning. As part of Operation Target, we’ve arrested more than 350 people on suspicion of high harm offences like drug dealing and criminal exploitation in the last 12-months alone – and more will be coming. | ||
