||
We’ve arrested two teenage boys as part of an ongoing investigation into potential illegal vape supply in Cannock.
This morning (Thursday 23 October), our child exploitation team and the county proactive and rural crime team joined forces and carried out two warrants at addresses in the Walsall area following intelligence over suspected illegal drug supply involving vapes in Staffordshire.
A number of items have been seized, including mobile phones, cash and liquids suspected to contain illegal substances.
Two 17-year-old boys, from Walsall, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supply of a class B drug. They will be questioned in custody.
Detective Inspector Ashley Bennett, from our child exploitation team, said: “We’re actively investigating reports of refillable vape being bottles being sold to people in the area that may contain illegal and harmful substances.
“We’re working proactively to find out more and to act robustly against those responsible for illegal drug supply and causing harm in our communities.”
