Man charged after cocaine seized

A man has been charged after we seized around £1,000-worth of cocaine in Stoke-on-Trent.

Liman Demiri, 25, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance and two counts of assault by beating. 

It comes after officers stopped a car in Penkhull on Wednesday (22 October) and seized around £1,000 worth of cocaine, cash and suspected drugs line phone. 

Demiri has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 24 October).
