REMEMBRANCE SERVICE - RUGELEY |

On Sunday 9th November, Rugeley will honour Remembrance Sunday with a series of commemorative events beginning with a church service at 9:30am at St Augustine's Church, Station Road. Attendees are kindly asked to arrive by 9:15am.
Following the service, the Remembrance Parade will feature representatives from the Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Member of Parliament, District and Town Councils, Royal British Legion, Regimental Associations, local Cadets, Scouts, and Guides, along with their Standard Bearers and members of various community organisations. The public is warmly invited to participate in the parade.
The parade will assemble at 10:30am in the car park of Rugeley Progressive Working Men’s Club, Mansfield House, and will march off at 10:45am, led by the Stafford and Stone Boys Brigade Band.
The procession will make its way to the Market Square and Cenotaph, arriving shortly before 11:00am. Awaiting at the Cenotaph will be local dignitaries, business leaders, and community representatives. A Remembrance Service will follow, including a two-minute silence at 11:00am and the laying of wreaths.
After the service, members of the public are invited to join parade participants at the Red Rose Theatre for refreshments.

Armistice Day Commemorations – Tuesday 11th November
On Tuesday 11th November, a solemn gathering will take place at the Cenotaph, featuring a two-minute silence at 11:00am. Local school pupils will read aloud the names of the fallen, and crosses will be placed at the base of the Cenotaph in their memory.
