Logo Remembrance parade 9th November 2025

A Remembrance parade is to go through Burton upon Trent this Remembrance Sunday, together with an Act of Remembrance and a wreath laying ceremony.

Taking place on Sunday 9th November, the parade will form up at Burton Library Car Park from 9.30am and depart at 9.50am. The parade, led by 351 (Burton upon Trent) Squadron Core of Drums will proceed down the High Street into the Market Place, arriving at St. Modwen’s Parish Church for a Service of Remembrance at 10am.

Residents who wish to attend the Service of Remembrance but do not wish to join the parade are asked to be seated in St Modwen’s Parish Church by 9.50am.

An Act of Remembrance will then take place at the War Memorial on Lichfield Street at 10.55am, including a wreath laying ceremony.

The parade will then reform and return down the High Street back to Burton library Car Park with eyes left for the salute outside the old Barclays bank on the corner of Station Street, then returning to Meadowside Leisure Centre for refreshments and awards by the Mayor.
