SHOPLIFTERS ISSUED WARNINGS

This week I have issued six Community Protection Warnings (CPW) to persons identified as stealing low value items as sandwiches, crisps, sweets, etc from Spar stores and/or Morrison's Daily in Ellerbeck. Some of these individuals have also been verbally abusive towards staff.

We understand that some people may be struggling financially but stealing food is not acceptable. There are a number of Food Bank locations across Tamworth (Manna House, St Andrew's Church) as well as financial and other support services from the likes of Tamworth Community Together CIC

Abuse towards retails staff members will also not be tolerated. The CPWs all come with a list of conditions the recipients must adhere to or face further consequences such as fixed penalty notices or prosecutions.
