Two arrested after cocaine found in car |
||
|
Two people have been arrested after officers stopped a car in Stoke-on-Trent. On Wednesday (12 November) officers from our major and organised crime proactive team stopped a car in Hanley. When they searched the vehicle, a quantity of cocaine was found hidden in a silicone tube. A 44-year-old woman, from Cheshire, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cocaine. A 45-year-old, also from Cheshire, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in offer to supply cocaine. Both have been released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue. The activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire. We launched Operation Target in May 2023 and have been working hard to identify, disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation. | ||
