⚠️ Community Weather Alert – Cold Conditions & Vehicle Safety ⚠️ With temperatures dropping this week, we’re reminding all residents to take extra care during the colder weather. Please do not leave your vehicle running unattended while defrosting. Aside from being unsafe, it also increases the risk of theft, opportunistic thieves often target cars left unattended with engines running on icy mornings. A few quick tips to stay safe and protect your vehicle: - Allow extra time in the mornings for defrosting.
- Use a proper ice scraper and approved de-icer spray.
- Never leave your engine running while you’re inside your home.
- Make sure windows and mirrors are fully cleared before driving.
- Take extra care on untreated roads, especially early mornings and late evenings.
