There is no excuse for unwelcome sexual jokes, comments, staring, wolf whistling and inappropriate touching. These are all forms of harassment, sexual assault and abuse. If you have been victim of harassment or abuse, help and support is available:
Staffordshire Police – If you, or somebody else, is in immediate danger call 999. Alternatively, call Staffordshire Police on 101 for non-emergency calls.
Staffordshire Survive – A service that provides a free, non-judgemental and confidential service for adults, children over the age of 4, and close family members/significant others who have been affected by sexual assault or abuse.
Sexual Abuse Referral Centres (SARCs) – SARCs offer free, confidential healthcare and compassionate support to adults and children who have experiences sexual assault, including rape.
StreetSafe – You can anonymously report public places where you have felt or feel unsafe because of environmental issues, e.g. street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, e.g. being followed or verbally abused. Please note: StreetSafe is not for reporting crimes or emergencies.
