I hope you all are well,
Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the list of locations patrolled from 20/11/25 – 23/11/2025.
Firstly, apologies if I missed anyone at last nights (24/11/2025) Police Street Surgery at Monkleigh Cl. I was unable to attend as I was assisting with the search for a missing child in the Hartshill area – they were thankfully found safe and well. I will be repeating this Street Surgery next week – I will confirm date and times in the very near future.
Please note, if I am not in attendance at any of the surgeries, it will likely be due to me coming across or been sent to a live incident. Any surgery that I miss will be re-scheduled at the earliest opportunity.
Neighbourhood Watch – useful contact numbers
I am very happy with how the work around Neighbourhood Watch is developing, with a number of new zones being created over the last few weeks. I am working on planning the next zones which I will be announcing in the very near future. I just wanted to talk a little about a crucial aspect to the work. I include with all welcome packs posted to addresses within the zones, a poster that lists a number of important and useful contact details and numbers for partnership agencies. To me, I’ve always considered Neighbourhood Watch to be historically about looking out for Neighbours in a crime prevention capacity – and this is still very much a crucial part of it. However, I also wanted to ensure it involves increasing the awareness of the help that is out there. Therefore I wanted to ensure that residents have the contact information for a number of crucial partner agencies, which include mental health support, domestic abuse victim support and Social Care support to name but a few. The idea being that you will be able to use these details yourself or pass them on to neighbours, family, friends or anyone else that you feel may need help and support. To help ensure this reaches as many people as possible, I’ve attached it to this Smart Alert. If you could please share it with neighbours, family, friends and on social media, that would be fantastic thank you!!
Highways update re Meadow Lane/Chessington Cr Junction
Following receiving concerns from residents that vehicles entering Meadowlane from Chessington Cr are not stopping at the junction, causing concerns that an accident may happen, this was reported to Highways, asking for better signage or a junction line. I have recevied the following reply…
