Hazel Slade Primary Academy, Cannock Wood Street have Completed the 'Junior Police Cadet' Programme
PCSO Liz Hall, PCSO Sean Nicholls and Special Sergeant Kevin Lee today presented certificates and pin badges to all Year 6 pupils at Hazel Slade Primary Academy, celebrating their successful completion of the latest Junior Police Cadet programme.
Across six weeks, the children took part in a series of interactive and engaging sessions aimed at building confidence, awareness, and an understanding of community safety. Their learning included:
*Roles and responsibilities within the police, including the law and the Police Code of Ethics
*Communication skills, such as radio use and the phonetic alphabet
*Anti-social behaviour awareness
*Road safety
*Harmful Relationships
*Personal safety when out and about
During a special assembly, the Cadets proudly showcased what they had learned to their families and fellow pupils, demonstrating the skills and knowledge they had developed throughout the programme.
Officers praised the group for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment, highlighting the positive impact the programme continues to have within the school and the wider community.
