DRINK DRIVER ARRESTED

On 07/12/2025 at around 02:30 officers from our road crime team stopped a silver Ford Fiesta in Crossfell, Stonydelph.

The vehicle had been followed along the A5 and Pennine Way after officers were alerted to their manner of driving.

A roadside breath test was conducted and the male driver blew over the legal alcohol limit.

The 33 year old male driver, from Stonydelph, was arrested for drink driving and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

He has since been released on bail.

The vehicle was also seized for no insurance.
