Man arrested following robbery

A man has been arrested after officers on #problemsolvingpolicing patrols were alerted to a robbery in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were on foot around Burslem on Sunday (7 December) when a member of the public reported that a man was attempting to steal items from two women on mobility scooters nearby.

Officers ran to the scene and after a short foot chase, a 37-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released under investigation.

The two women were not injured.
