Two arrested after cannabis and imitation firearm seized |

|
Two men have been arrested after cannabis and an imitation firearm were seized in Stoke-on-Trent. At around 11pm yesterday (Monday 15 December) a blue car failed to stop for officers on Uttoxeter Road, Longton. A short pursuit took place, and the car eventually came to a stop on the A500 near Talke. From inside the vehicle, officers seized a large amount of cannabis, a kitchen knife, a hammer, and an imitation firearm. A 20-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. An 18-year-old man, also from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and driving with proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit. They both remain in custody for questioning. | ||
