Festive shopping is in full swing!
Staffordshire Police is urging you to take simple crime prevention measures to keep your handbag, purse, money, mobile phones and bank cards safe. Never leave your purse or bag unattended on a trolley, pushchair or wheelchair as it can be stolen in a matter of seconds. Keep your purse/ wallet at the bottom of your bag and ensure the bag is closed/ zipped.
Avoid back pockets and chairs, never hang bags on the back of chairs or put wallets, mobile phones in back pockets.
Be aware of who is around- particularly when withdrawing money from a cash machine. Shield your PIN number and put money into your purse or wallet immediately. Never keep PIN numbers with bank cards, and consider RFID-blocking pockets.
Avoid carrying large amounts of cash around with you and be careful not to let anyone see what's in your purse or wallet as you pay for goods. Be aware…
