Burglary - Ogley Hay Road, Burntwood

Good Evening All

It has been reported that there has been an attempted theft at Ogley Hay Road at 15:30pm hrs on 24/12/25 A white van was seen in the location at the time of the burglary acting suspiciously. A male aged between 32 and 40 years with a medium build and medium height was acting suspiciously. The male who was acting suspiciously was asking to enter the house. Also, there was one male in a white jacket acting suspiciously who was driving the white Ford transit van. According to reports one of the males who gets out of the white van pretends to be ill so as to be able to enter a house with his friend.

I shall be out on patrol this evening in the area.

It is advised to:-

Report any suspicious activity to 101

Do not answer the door to people who you do not expect

Ask for ID

If you have to answer the door to people you can answer from an upstairs window

Ring doorbell is useful and worth investing in

Use of timer lights, pat locks for conservatories are useful

Placing dustbins or neighbours' dustbins in at a decent hour is a preventative measure

Locking sheds with padlocks

Not advertising on social media or to many people if you are going on annual leave and will be away from your house and in your absence asking a trusted friend/neighbour to keep an eye on your property for suspicious activity.
