Police have received reports from residents concerning a set of rogue roofing and guttering tradesman operating in Burton. The latest incident was reported on 17/12/25 in the Stretton area. We have also had incidents reported in the Stapenhill area. In both incidents, the victims have been asked to pay a large sum of money for work that has nowhere near warranted this amount and have unfortunately transferred the funds to the rogue traders. These traders have been background checked and are not registered with companies house and have a recent history of charging extortionate amounts for work they are doing. Please encourage vulnerable family members to be vigilant and to be aware of rogue traders working on their property and charging far to much money. Please check the credentials of persons completing work at your property and try and obtain references and reviews of previously completed works.
