Attempted burglary on Wayside Acres

At approximately 03:45am this morning we have received a report of an attempted break in at a property on Wayside Acres, Codsall. On this report offenders have snapped the lock off the rear door to try and gain access to the property but made off before being able to take anything. There is the potential that the offenders were after the keys to a vehicle that was parked on the driveway. 

Please be a bit more aware of who is around over the next few days in case these offenders return to the area to try a different property, especially with New Year's Eve being tomorrow, as most people will be focused on planned events for the new year, leaving properties unoccupied. 

The residents close to the location have been spoken to and made aware, and I have been asked to put the link in for the Secured By Design website again, where you can find crime prevention advice, as well as recommended security products and guidance around the British Security Standard.
