MALE ARRESTED FOR DRUG DRIVING

On 02/01/2026 at around 09:40 officers stopped a blue Ford Focus on Bitterscote Drive, Tamworth.

Checks revealed the vehicle was being driven without valid insurance.

The driver initially gave false details to officers and when proper details were confirmed it was discovered they were disqualified from driving.

A roadside drugs swipe was also conducted for which the driver tested positive.

The vehicle was seized for no insurance and the 37 year old male driver, from Atherstone, was arrested for drug driving and dealt with for documents offences. He has since been released under investigation.
