HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE HERBERT PROTOCOL FORM? |
||
|
Earlier today, we successfully located a vulnerable individual living with dementia who had gone missing. Thanks to information from the public, the person was safely returned home to their family.
To help prevent future incidents, the family will now be provided with a Herbert Protocol form. This is a nationally recognised safeguarding initiative designed for people living with dementia. The form contains essential information such as personal details, medical history, places of interest, and a recent photograph. In the event the person goes missing again, this information can be quickly shared with police to assist in locating them as soon as possible, saving valuable time.
You can find out more here: Herbert Protocol
If you are a carer or have a relative who unfortunately suffers with dementia, please get in touch and I can provide you with a Herbert Protocol form. My email address is chad.carrington@staffordshire.police.uk
Thank you, Chad Carrington
