Appeal after man assaulted and car damaged

Do you recognise these individuals?

We would like to speak to them after a man was assaulted and criminal damage took place in Newcastle-under-Lyme recently.

We were called at 4.15pm on Tuesday (6 January) to Lower Street following reports of violence.

A man had been assaulted by a group of individuals near Holborn and the Castle Hill Road area.

The victim, in his 40s, suffered head and eye injuries before the suspects ran off in the direction of the town centre, through the underpass, towards Bridge Street.

A day later, the victim reported that his car, a beige Nissan Qashqai, had been damaged.

The vehicle had been parked close to an education centre and sustained damage to its mirrors.

The suspects, believed to be around 10 individuals including three girls, left the scene in the direction of Silverdale and Dunkirk Street.

Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the incidents and would like to speak to those pictured as part of their inquiries.
