HORSE TACK MARKING

#RuralCrimePrevention | This morning, the @cannockpolicecontingent of the Staffordshire Rural, Wildlife & Heritage Crime Unit visited several livery yards across the district to carry out Tack Marking. In total, 28 saddles were marked and registered.

Tack Marking is a simple but highly effective crime‑prevention measure used to help deter theft and improve the chances of stolen riding equipment being identified and returned. Using a secure marking system, unique identification codes are applied to saddles and other tack, allowing them to be traced back to their rightful owners.

With the rising value of equestrian equipment, tack marking is proving to be an essential tool in reducing rural crime and giving horse owners greater peace of mind.
