Two arrested on suspicion of fraud

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of fraud offences in Newcastle-under-Lyme. 

On Friday (16 January), we received a report that money and belongings had been going missing from a flat in Kidsgrove for around twelve months, belonging to a man in his 90s.

Following an investigation, a 75-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman, both from Newcastle-under-Lyme, have been arrested today (Friday 23 January) on suspicion of fraud by false representation. 

They both remain in custody for questioning.
