Appeal after woman assaulted

We are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted by another woman in Tamworth. 

We were called at 7.25pm on Saturday (24 January) to Marmion Street following reports of violence. 

The victim was approached from behind before being punched in the head multiple times and her hair was pulled. 

The suspect left the scene on foot a short time later. 

The victim sustained facial injuries and required hospital treatment. 

Her injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. 

We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone who may have relevant dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
