MALE CONVICTED IN COURT FOLLOWING NUMBER OF ASSAULTS

This is Asa McGahan, 26, of Sandwell, who has been convicted in court after he launched two vicious assaults on a woman. 

He admitted two counts of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and one count of escape from lawful custody. 

In October 2024, McGahan launched his first attack on the victim. He left the house after it happened but returned later the same day. When he went back inside, McGahan punched the victim. They fought for a few minutes until police officers arrived at the scene. 

He went on the run after it happened but we tracked him down and brought in. 

Now, he’s pleaded guilty to the offences and has been remanded ahead of his sentencing date at Stafford Crown Court on 1 April.
