YOUNG MALES ARRESTED IN RELATION TO MOTORBIKE THEFT

#ARREST | On Monday 16th February at approximately 02:40 we received a report of a motorbike being stolen from Nevill Street, Tamworth.

At around 02:55 officers located three males in Moor Street park along with the stolen motorbike. A fourth male was seen running off from the location and was detained a short distance away.

Two men aged 18, from Tamworth, and two boys aged 15 & 17 were arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle. They have since been released on conditional bail.

We are aware of a group of young males riding around Tamworth on what are suspected to be stolen motorbikes attempting to steal other motorbikes/scooters. We are working with victims, witnesses and local businesses to try and identify those responsible.

We have also increased patrols with officers in high-vis and plain clothes patrolling the town centre and retail parks.
