Good morning, Location: Birches Valley, Cannock Chase

Timeframe: Between 12:30 and 14:30 We are investigating a report of a stolen purse taken from an outside bench, at the Birches Valley site on Cannock Chase. If you were in the area during this time and saw any suspicious behaviour or have dashcam footage, we would like to hear from you. If you have any information, please contact us on 101, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident reference (add appropriate reference number). Crime Prevention Advice Keep valuables out of sight: Store purses, wallets, and phones in zipped internal pockets or bags that remain closed.Stay alert in busy areas: Offenders often target moments when people are distracted (e.g., taking photos, unloading cars, or walking trails).Don’t leave bags unattended: If stopping for food, using play areas, or taking part in activities, keep bags within reach and in sight at all times.Consider anti‑theft products: Such as purse chains, bag alarms, or RFID‑blocking card holders.Should your cards be stolen, contact your bank and freeze/cancel them as soon as possible.
