We have received reports of vehicle‑related incidents in the wider area. To reduce the risk of becoming a victim of car crime, please consider the following advice:

Always lock your vehicle, even when parked on your driveway or only stepping away for a moment.

Remove valuables such as bags, tools, sat‑navs and electronics. Avoid leaving anything on display.

Use additional security, such as steering wheel locks or pedal locks, which can deter offenders.

Check your vehicle is secure by physically trying the door handles before walking away.

Park in well‑lit, busy areas or on a driveway where possible.

Keep keys safe, away from doors and windows. Consider using a signal‑blocking pouch for keyless entry vehicles.

Taking simple precautions can significantly reduce the likelihood of your vehicle being targeted.
