SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT - RUGELEY

Good evening,

Earlier this morning, we received a couple of calls reporting a loud grinding noise in the area of Lower Birches Way, Rugeley. Callers were understandably concerned that this may have been a crime in progress.

I’d like to reassure local residents that the noise was in fact caused by emergency repair work taking place on the nearby railway line.
